The continuous concern for the improvement of road safety in Romania demonstrated by Industrie Mică Prahova SA manifested itself in the signing of the European Road Safety Charter in 2012, but also through numerous initiatives in this area, such as:
The two above-mentioned campaigns were nominated in Prahova Community Gala in 2018 and 2019.
Drumul in siguranta, the weblog launched by Industrie Mica Prahova as part of the commitment signed with the European Road Safety Charter, constantly brings out to the public opinion the issue of road safety and the importance of good signalling in traffic.
Road markings are not used for making the road look good in early spring. Through the articles published on the Drumul in siguranta weblog, the company attempts to emphasize both the role of road markings and that of traffic signs in cutting down the number of victims on the road.
Between September 16th and 23rd, Industrie Mica Prahova SA continued the initiative launched last year through Drumul in siguranta weblog and its Facebook page, as part of ROADPOL Safety Days. This year’s project is called Safe, on the street! and approaches two important themes: drivers behaviour and excessive speeding. Articles and infographics were published every day during the event under the #Stradainsiguranta hashtag.
Information and awareness campaign consisting in a series of articles, posters and infographics posted for a week on the Facebook page of Drumul in siguranta weblog. Their purpose was to support the ROADPOLSafetyDays and approached themes such as speed, preventive driving, distracted driving, etc.
Industrie Mica Prahova SA and Drumul in siguranta created the first study on child behaviour in traffic in Romania. The study approaches the most important aspects of the way in which children understand traffic as well as their perception on the surrounding reality.
Industrie Mica Prahova SA decided to get involved in reducing the number of victims in car crashes by supporting Project Edward organized by TISPOL and sustained by the European Commission. Thus, between September 16th and September 21st, 2018, the company carried out an online campaign via Drumul in siguranta weblog and its Facebook page. The campaign was named The week with no traffic events and consisted in articles and infographics on themes such as speed, alcohol consumption, the role of road markings and that of traffic signs, but also statistics on road accidents which were delivered daily under the #ProjectEDWARD hashtag.
Information and awareness campaign consisting in a series of articles, posters, and infographics published for a month on the Drumul in siguranta weblog. They had the purpose of reminding the rules of a safe journey on the roads as a driver, a pedestrian, or a bicyclist. The articles were published between April 12th and June 6th, 2018 on the Drumul in siguranta weblog.
Drumul in siguranta weblog and Industrie Mica Prahova SA started the project called Your Safety Matters Also In Traffic!, an initiative meant to promote the safe behaviour of children in traffic.
Thus, over 500 children, as well as their parents and educators were initiated in the basic rules of safe road travel. This happened when delivering the brochure which included several simple traffic rules for the little pedestrians.
Also, considering the conclusions reached after the end of the campaign Your Safety Matters Also In Traffic! created by Industrie Mica Prahova SA for kindergarten and school children, the company continued the project and delivered a series of suggestions to the Ministry of Transport, requesting special attention to children safety on the road, through proper signalling of crosswalks nearby schools, but also through installing speed bumps in these areas.
